"D" day has arrived.
It is 9:53am. Im hungry. Day one... I was woken up by my son this morning at 6am. However I dont sleep that well as of late, and find myself waking up almost every hour during the night. I am so congested I sleep almost sitting up. Its so annoying. My allergies and asthma in NZ are terrible.. I cant remember the last time I could actually breathe out of my nose. As my neice has so lovingly labled me.. I am the snot queen. So my first thought upon waking up is COFFEE. Nice hot coffee. However my hubby gets up and makes me and the kids MILOS.. mmm just as good. And as I sit in bed drinking milo with my kids, watching Elmo, I think .. OH CRAP, how much sugar did he put in this milo. CRAP my whole diet is screwed.. wow if its screwed already then, I wish I had some buttered french bread with this milo. This is a prime example of how my brain works (or doesnt work, if you want to look at it like that.) BUT I did not send my hubby to the bakery, as normally would be the case. No instead I remembered my goals for this week. more water, 3x exercise. OK so I havent messed up my healthy lifestyle change. Having this milo is not the death of this "diet". It doesnt mean now I get to eat a loaf of bread either, slathered in 10 cows worth of rich creamy butter. It means Im having a milo, and im enjoying it. The end. Did you hear that brain. I didnt feel like eating breakfast. I never do. But as all us professional dieters know, thats the problem. SO I ate breakfast: 9:00am - 1cup of cherrios with 1 yogurt (I dont have any trim milk at the moment, so I used the yogurt instead) I also followed this breakfast with a bottle of water. (Just tapwater in a drink bottle we have, not sure the size) I never realized how hard it is just to drink water when your not thirsty. It was hard to drink that bottle of water, and serisouly my baby bladder is making me pee every 5min now. All for the cause though right??! Another thing I thought I would try, because I have terrible eating habits (when and what) is to try and eat every other hour, small meals or snacks, and nothing after 7:00pm. Thats all for now.. will update later.
