My last day before the "D" day...

Ok... "D" as in diet.. wait wait, let me refrain and make it P.C.... before my Healthy Lifestyle Change. Haha.. now im bound to succeed :) SO I guess as this is my first post I must introduce myself, and as much as I like talking about myself, id rather just get into the now, so ill just bullet point me.. - I am 28yrs old, a few weeks away from 29 -I have 2 children Florence - 6yrs old from my first marriage, and JJ -almost 2 yrs old from my second and current marriage -I just got remarried Dec.31 2010 to my hubby Jonathan -I am currently a stay at home mum.. or a stay in bed or on the couch mum -My hubby was made redundant a yr ago from his career in radio and went back to study and will be a teacher come june -I was born in New Zealand, raised in Canada, and have been back in NZ for 5yrs AND ok im getting bored so thats enough stats for now... lets get to TODAY... April 10, 2011. I have a best friend. well more like kindred spirit as we are so similar in our thinking ways, and she is also a stay at home mum of 2 at the moment. I call her "Twiny" and will throughout. SO twiny and I were talking about how depressed we are about ourselves and the day to day, and decided we really need to get our asses in gear and get back our former HOTNESS. Yes HOTNESS. that is what is driving me. SAD i know. and let me be honest here people, I am rarely honest when it comes to weight, but what is driving me is the pure selfish need to feel HOT again. Of course it would sound lovely and nice to say I want to be able to keep up with my kids, and run around the park, and bike, and swim, and do marathons all while baking no fat carrot muffins, and rubbing my husbands feet, but look, i am only human and I just want to be hot again. Hell id settle for fit pants that dont have an elasitc waistband. But of course all those other things are lovely side effects of losing weight. So all positive right?! SO ANWAYS, tommorrow we start this healthy lifestyle change. And its something I have wanted to do for so long, and know I need to do, but have been putting it off, till TOMMORROW. Well its a year later and tommorrow has never come. So TOMMORROW arrives TOMMORROW. for real. I have decided to set 2 goals for this week.. they are - Drink at least 2Ltrs of water a day (I did have 1ltr, but my twiny is doing 2 so my competitive nature had to keep up.. another perk of doing this with a friend) -Do at least 30min of exercise/3x this week. So those are my healthy lifestyle goals for this week... these are some other goals to myself.. -Blog regularly to keep myself in check -Be HONEST with myself and twiny, to keep our mulis (samoan term for butt) in check. stay tuned folks...
